Parent Education "Staying the Course"

Date: January 20 2011
Details:
Dear Pebblecreek Montessori Parents. One of the most frequently asked question of parents is “How do children do after they leave Montessori and go to the ‘real world’?”  It usually stirs some quiet humor in me as I believe Montessori is as close to “real world” as you are going to get in education. We educate children for life, not just for the next level. After answering this question many times over, I decided to invite those who have graduated from Montessori to the “real world “  and let them speak firsthand about their journey; it turned out to be one of the most compelling arguments for staying in Montessori!  Please join us tomorrow evening for “Staying the Course”, a parent education class hosted by the alumni of PCM. Our graduates are returning from Legacy Christian Academy, Hockaday, Jesuit College Preparatory and Plano ISD. Come hear what they have to say about the benefits of a Montessori education. I guarantee you will be awed by this incredible group of adolescents who have continued to excel in the “real world”. The course will be held in the elementary gymnasium on Thursday, January 20th from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Please respond to Ms. Patricia main@pebblecreekmontessori.org if you plan on attending and if you will require childcare. Hope to see you all there.
