Andrew Owen Memorial Golf Tournament
Pebblecreek Memorial Foundation established the Andrew Owen Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2004. Through the kindness and generosity of our community, we have supported several families who would otherwise not be able to give their children a private education. The foundation awarded financial assistance to 5 children this year; every recipient is a child of a single parent. Our collective efforts in assisting these families has allowed single parents to focus on completing their education and to build a career which will enable them to support their children into adulthood.
The major source of the funding will come from the third annual “Andrew Owen Memorial Golf Tournament” on Saturday, October 15, 2011. It will be held at The Tribute Golf Course in The Colony. It will begin at 1:30 p.m. followed by an awards banquet in the evening. The golf tournament is in memory of Andrew Mark Owen, son of Gary and Noelle Owen. Though his life was short (September 22, 1981 – November 29, 1997), the legacy that he leaves is one of compassion for those less fortunate than himself. He never turned anyone away who needed a friend. In his memory, we would like to extend our hand to a less fortunate child. Your donation will make this possible.
Please give thoughtful consideration to helping build a dream for a deserving child by committing to sponsor this great event. We are hoping for 100% participation from our school community. Participation includes playing golf, monetary donations and /or sponsoring a hole.
