Last day to donate paper towel rolls for Operation Kindness Animal Shelter
October Community Service Project
Organized by the Elementary Students of Pebblecreek
Operation Kindness, founded in 1976, is the oldest and largest no-kill shelter in North Texas. This organization has saved more than 55,00 animals since its doors opened for business. On average, the facility’s staff cares for 200-250 animals on a day-to-day basis, with another 60- 80 animals in foster homes. Over 2,800 dogs and cats are adopted each year.
The elementary students invite you to make a difference. “Be the change you want to see in the world.” – A quote by Gandhi that is familiar to every student. As a united community, we can be the change we want to see in the world through a simple donation of much needed paper toweling.
Operation Kindness receives no government funding and relies strictly on private contributions. Without donations of paper towels, which are used every day to care for the animals, Operation Kindness would have to spend $2,000 per month on this product.
Please join us as we make a difference. Your donation of paper towel rolls will help a homeless animal in need. Donation bins will be placed in the front lobby of each building. We will begin collecting rolls of paper towel on October 11th with the final collection day being October 21st.
The following week elementary students will deliver our donation to Operation Kindness in person!
Thank you, The Elementary Students and Staff
