Tara Chapman

Elementary Coordinator

Montessori Certification: AMS

Mrs. Chapman has been an educator for more than twenty years.  She is a graduate of Winona State University in Minnesota, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in elementary education.  In addition, she earned a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the area of curriculum and instruction-reading.  She also holds an AMS certification (elementary) which she earned at the Dallas Montessori Teacher Education Program. 

Mrs. Chapman began her career teaching the lower elementary grades in public school districts in the states of Wisconsin and Arizona.  Later, she spent five years in the Montessori classroom as an elementary guide. 

In 2007, Mrs. Chapman received a graduate level certification from the Learning Therapy Program at Southern Methodist University. She is a CALT or Certified Academic Language Therapist who specializes in teaching children with dyslexia and related learning differences.

Mrs. Chapman is also Pebblecreek’s Coordinator for the Elementary Program and is responsible for curriculum development, teacher support, and parent education.

Mrs. Chapman is the mother of a former Montessori student, who now attends Legacy Christian Academy.  Mrs. Chapman enjoys being part of her son’s weekly activities.  When she is not teaching, she enjoys traveling with her family, reading, and cooking.
