Bobbie Sniderwin

Art Specialist

Bobbie Sniderwin has been a creative arts educator for over 30 years.  Her students range from kindergarteners to adults, some of whom have received local, state and national awards.  As an artist and an educator she has organized cultural arts programs for elementary students of all skills and abilities.  For six years she trained other educators in discipline-based art education which was sponsored by The University of North Texas.  Because of her passion, she continues to inspire through the mentoring of young art educators and students.  Her love for art and children shines through everything she does.

In Mrs. Sniderwin’s words:  “All the world’s a stage and we are but players,” according to Shakespeare in his play, As You Like It.  I take advantage of this concept in every lesson as a facilitator with the children as key players in the on-going production being performed daily in my classroom.  It is up to me as director to transform that “stage” into an environment that causes explosions of analytical thinking, natural curiosity, healthy risk-taking, genuine respect, and keen observation of the world.

Away from the classroom, Mrs. Sniderwin enjoys spending time with her family and friends at museums, creating art, working in her flower garden, reading and playing tennis.
