Gabriela Wilcox

Mrs. Wilcox began teaching in Lima, Peru in 1963.  After moving to Texas in 1980, she taught at St. Monica Catholic School in Dallas.  She earned her MIA Montessori certification in 1989 and joined the teaching staff at Preston Meadows Montessori.  In 1999, she moved to St. Alcuin Montessori to lead the school's Spanish program.   

Mrs. Wilcox is one of the founders of Pebblecreek Montessori and a lead guide in the primary program.  Beginning school year 2007-2008, her classroom became the pilot class for an innovative Spanish immersion program; since then, Pebblecreeek has added a second primary-level immersion class.  In 2010, an immersion classroom for younger students, B.O.L.D for Toddlers, was added. 
 

Mrs. Wilcox also teaches Spanish to the elementary students at Pebblecreek and serves as the coordinator of the school's Spanish Language Programs for classes at all levels.  Mrs. Wilcox is the author and publisher of Touch Spanish, an instructional program for children ages 2-12 years.

For the last four years Mrs. Wilcox has led a successful in-house Teacher's Montessori Training Program.  Mrs. Wilcox is a popular speaker at Montessori conferences around the nation and is a member of the International Montessori Council Accreditation Committee.  Periodically, she attends national conventions and workshops, such as "Asperger's Syndrome" presented by Timothy Kowalski. 

She is the mother of two grown children and the grandmother of four.  She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
