Athletic Coordinator (P.E.)

Joseph Amanfu is known as "Coach Joe" to Pebblecreek students.  He was born in Lagos, Nigeria and then moved to Nashville, Tennessee with his family.  He grew up in Nashville and, as a young man, played basketball for Aquinas College in 2000 and 2001.  In 2001 he moved to Texas and began teaching P.E. at private schools in the DFW area.  His involvement in Pebblecreek's program began in 2003. 

In 2006, Coach Joe created his own company called Basketball Basics, to teach children the fundamentals of the sport in a fun, pressure-free environment.  Basketball Basics is offered for two age levels (primary and elementary) on Monday afternoons at Pebblecreek (see extracurricular activities).
