Mrs. Kara was born in the United Kingdom where she graduated from Marlow House Institute.  There she earned certifications in both Training and Development.  She became an Associate Member of the Institute of Training and Development UK in 1991.

In 1997 she immigrated to the United States with her husband and is the mother of two children.  In August 2005, Mrs. Kara assumed the lead teaching position in the Buttercup room. Prior to leading the class she assisted in both the Jasmine and Rosebud rooms.  Mrs. Kara earned her Montessori Certificate from Southwestern Montessori Training Center in 2004, and she is also certified in MACAR: Montessori Applied To Children At Risk.

Mrs. Kara enjoys music and plays the flute.
