Mrs. Sarma earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, India.  She was also awarded a B.A. in Indian Classical Music from the University of Pune, India.

Mrs. Sarma began her teaching career as a secondary school teacher after receiving a post-graduate Certificate of Education in Science from DeMontfort University in the U.K.  She taught science and math to middle and high school students in Bedford, England. 

After joining Pebblecreek Montessori in January 2006, Mrs. Sarma completed her AMS Montessori certification for both the lower and upper elementary levels and is ideally qualified to provide an authentic Montessori experience for children ages 6 to 12 years.

Mrs. Sarma is passionate about the Montessori method and philosophy. Her own children have thrived in the Montessori environment.
