Mrs. Susmita Sarma earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, India.  She was also awarded a B.A. in Indian Classical Music from the University of Pune, India. She qualified as a secondary school teacher with a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Science from DeMontfort University in the U.K.  Mrs. Sarma taught science and math to middle and high school students in Bedford, England.  She completed her AMS Montessori Elementary Certification for both lower and upper elementary in 2007 and is ideally qualified to provide an authentic Montessori experience for children ages 6 to 12 years.  Mrs. Sarma has a nine year old daughter and a six year old son who are also at Pebblecreek Montessori.  Her hobbies include music, gardening and embroidery.
