About Us

Pebblecreek Montessori - School of Excellence

Pebblecreek is dedicated to providing a genuine Montessori atmosphere by interpreting Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophies faithfully.  Our programs encompass the infant, toddler, primary, and elementary (through 6th grade) levels of Montessori education.

At Pebblecreek Montessori, we believe that intelligence is innate.  Our goal is to feed a child's natural curiosity and transform it into passionate intellectual pursuit.  We believe in ultimate respect for a child's natural timing in the development of all areas of their being.  A successful Montessori education encourages personal excellence and imagination and instills a true love of learning.  Visitors are always impressed with our school's positive energy and the harmony in which our students work with their peers and guides (teachers).

All classes are led by Montessori-certified guides.  Staff profiles are posted under People.

Pebblecreek offers partial-day and full-day classes for infants, toddlers and preschool-age children, and an elementary program through 6th grade.  All classes follow a Monday through Friday, five-day/week schedule.  As an authentic Montessori, Pebblecreek's classrooms include multi-age groupings; students engage in uninterrupted work periods using specially designed Montessori learning materials.

Pebblecreek families live in Plano, Allen, North Dallas, Frisco, and surrounding areas We believe a close partnership between home and school is important.

Ethnic and religious diversity within our student body complements our multi-cultural approach to education.  We are an inclusive community.

Pebblecreek believes that the world is best served by confident, creative and independent learners who understand the interdependence of all living creatures and who internalize respect for self, others and the environment.  We believe the Montessori materials are merely tools to develop multi-sensory thinkers into abstract thinkers who have an increased capacity for critical thinking and superior communication skills.  Pebblecreek believes that education should entail a balance between theory and practicality.  Our students have the opportunity to exercise their skills in everyday life in order to solidify their purpose and achieve mastery.

Pebblecreek Montessori's Expansion

Pebblecreek's enrollment has grown quickly since the school opened in January 2002 at the original location on Pebblecreek Court in Plano (near the intersection of Coit Road and Spring Creek Parkway).

In March 2008, Pebblecreek announced the purchase of a newly-constructed preschool building and 4+ acres of land near the intersection of Custer and Hedgecoxe Roads, straddling the border of Allen and Plano.  Construction of a new elementary building was completed in 2010.  The property boasts mature trees and a creek, where students feel at home in the natural environment that surrounds them.

Partnership with the International Montessori Council

Pebblecreek has partnered with the International Montessori Council (IMC) to realize the ambitious long-term vision of becoming a recognized teacher training center, a model for bilingual immersion, innovators in curriculum development, and active participants in the IMC leadership council.  Pebblecreek is a Candidate for Accreditation by the IMC and is nearing completion of the thorough accreditation process.
