Course Information

Touch Spanish by G. Wilcox is a hands-on method of teaching Spanish to adults and young children. This method of teaching Spanish resembles the natural process that a child encounters when exposed to a new language. Grammar rules are taught through the actual use of the language in conversations, as opposed to being bombarded with boring, and many times dull, grammar classes where the student may even lose interest in Spanish. The same vocabulary and verbs will be repeated throughout the series as often as possible.

BEGINNING

Level 1 for Children & Adults

Touch Spanish 1 & 2

This level is an introduction to beginning Spanish conversation where the student will develop skills in understanding and speaking the Spanish language through the use of conversation.

At this level, the student will understand Spanish sentence structures (taught without boring grammar), basic vocabulary words and a few verbs, all taught through conversation. This will facilitate the practical application of the language in real life.

Some of the topics will be: Greetings, The Flower, The Body, The Library, The Family, The Storm, The Dwelling, The Colors, Geometric Forms, The Fruit, The Numbers, Clothing, Pets, Transportation and The School.

INTERMEDIATE

Level 2 - for Children and Adults

Touch Spanish 3

This level introduces more vocabulary, some helping verbs and how they are used through conversation. Other material will be provided by the instructor.

ADVANCED

Level 3 for Adults

Various Conversation Topics

This level requires for the student to possess a certain proficiency in Spanish conversation prior to registering at this level. New topics and more verbs will be introduced and applied in the conversations. Topics will vary according to the students’ abilities and needs. These vocabulary words and verbs will be repeated throughout the series.

ADVANCED

Level 4 for Adults

Requested Topics and Periodicals

This level requires for the student to be somewhat proficient in Spanish conversation. Thematic vocabulary is presented at each of these classes. Verbs related to the topics will also be given. These conversation classes will use words specific to a topic or a profession. Vocabulary and verbs are repeated throughout the series as needed.
