Parent Advisory Board
The parent advisory board is comprised of a select group of parents chosen for their commitment to the mission of the school and for their ability to contribute expertise, experience and sound advice. It was formed in late 2007.
Parent advisory board members meet periodically with the school's board of directors to review operational policies, new program development, resource development, fundraising and strategic goals.
Board members must be capable of representing the constituents of the school community by analyzing decisions from the holistic perspective rather than an individual perspective and be able to weigh the long- and short-term impact of such decisions.
Additionally, board members must be willing to devote time for the meetings, maintain a strict policy of confidentiality about the sensitive nature of board discussions and consistently represent the school in a positive and professional manner.
