All Year Montessori

The All Year Montessori (AYM) program is designed to accommodate children of working parents who spend a longer period of time at school.  By combining all full-day primary-aged children in one group, transitional times are limited, allowing them to feel more relaxed and secure with little change in their daily routine.  Children may arrive as early as 7:00 am and may stay until 6:00 pm.  A sample daily schedule in the AYM class.

The AYM program combines the stimulation of the traditional Montessori environment with the comfort of a home-like setting, and students operate much like a family unit.  The Montessori work cycle is extended beyond the traditional three hours to include daily cooking and meal preparation, gardening, Spanish and science.  More about meals and menus in the AYM class.

The AYM schedule deviates from the PISD schedule the other programs follow.  The AYM program runs 12 months a year, closing for federal holidays and winter break only.

Children ages 3-6 years old may enroll in the AYM primary class.  More information about the primary program at Pebblecreek.

AYM toddlers (18 - 36 months) are incorporated into the partial-day toddler classes.  They transition into the dedicated AYM primary room around the time of their third birthday.
